Role: Trainer/Consultant, Systems of Care Institute, Center for Improvement of Child & Family Services

Education: M.S. in Communication, Portland State University; B.S. in Communication with a minor in Women’s Studies, Portland State University.

Experience: Prior to joining the Systems of Care Institute, Celeste worked at the Regional Research Institute for Human Services (RRI) at Portland State University.  During her eleven years of service at the RRI Celeste focused on developing youth-empowerment interventions, creating youth-oriented Wraparound enhancements, collaborating with community partners on Systems of Care and Circles of Care projects and designing engaging training curricula for young adult service providers. Some of the main threads of this work included: principal investigation, program evaluation, data collection, project management and mentoring/supervision.

In her current role at the System of Care Institute, Celeste works collaboratively with community partners to meet their Systems of Care and Wraparound training and support needs.

Teaching/Training/Research Interests: Systems of Care, Wraparound, youth/young adult empowerment, training and coaching for young adult service providers, workforce development, web-based training tools, health & wellness and community-based participatory research with American Indian/Alaska Native communities.

Personal Interests: Yoga, biking, music, art, reading and travel.
