Graduate Research Assistant

Tina Garner is a graduate student in the School of Education earning a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy with a specialization in Leadership for Sustainability Education and a graduate certificate for Teaching Adult Learners. Tina joined OAI Winter 2018 as a graduate research assistant for the Active and Adaptive Technology Grant funded by the Bill and Melinda Foundation. Tina finished her undergrad at PSU while working in the economics department as a student research assistant during which time she was an advocate for accessibility and lead for the Accessibility Project as an intern in the Student Sustainability Center where her team was awarded the President's Diversity Award in 2016 for being the most Distinguished Team. After earning an MS, Tina intends to continue educational research to help foster systemic changes for a more equitable and inclusive higher education experience for students and facilitate learning for underprivileged adult learners. Tina is also a member of the International Golden Key Honour Society. On her free time she likes to read, go on nature hikes and ride her bike, volunteer, play the violin, and spend time with family.
