Roz Crews is an artist who creates context-specific projects that involve social engagement as a method of investigation and production. Her recent work looks at the possibilities and inefficiencies of institutions, explores experiential education, and considers artistic research as a medium. She is a program manager at the King School Museum of Contemporary Art in Portland Oregon, and she teaches social practice, ideation, and research for designers at Portland State University (PSU) where she also works as the CORE Assistant in the School of Art + Design. She was the 2017-2018 Artist in Residence at UMass Dartmouth and the 2014-2017 Artist in Residence in the PSU Housing and Residence Life Department. She received her MFA from the Art and Social Practice MFA program at PSU, and she holds a BA in Anthropology with a concentration in Public Archaeology from New College of Florida.
