My Background

I was born in Russia, grew up in Germany where I completed my undergraduate degree in International Business and followed my husband to the US in 2005. After completing the MIM program as a full-time student I worked as a marketing associate for for a start-up and then as product manager for a pro-audio equipment manufacturer. Currently, I am at Tektronix loving my job as a new product development manager. I get to travel to our factory in Shanghai on a regular basis and work with the engineering teams to deploy new product designs to the Beaverton and Shanghai production facilities.

My Experience at Portland State University

I started the Master of International Management full-time program at PSU right after finishing up my Bachelor in International Business with the university of Dresden, Germany. I moved to Portland after my husband got a job at Intel. The selection for the MIM program was easy as it fit my previous experience. I was apprehensive of the language requirement (Chinese or Japanese) but this turned out be an amazing opportunity and has benefited my career ever since. The MIM program was intense but very effective. Instead of focusing on hard facts the emphasis was put on critical thinking, learning of to learn as well as networking. To this date I find myself drawing on the experiences and connections I made during the MIM program.

My Future Goals

I am interested in getting involved in the Portland start-up scene and have taken steps to realize this ambition. I am eager to get to know the the future generation of business leaders and to help mentor and support current PSU students.
