Meet Jen Dugger

Jen Dugger is the Director of the Disability Resource Center at Portland State University. Jen was appointed to the Board of the ACLU of Oregon in 2015. She also serves the Association of Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) as a Board of Directors member and co-chair of the LGBTQA Special Interest Group. Jen received the Diversity Recognition Award at the 2016 National AHEAD Conference. Here at PSU, Jen co-chairs the Accessibility Committee and facilitates work done on the committee related to Electronic and Information Technology. She has worked at PSU since 2012 and has been in the field of disability resources and services for more than ten years. She has presented locally and nationally on topics of diversity, online accessibility, and the intersection of gender, sexuality, and disability. Jen says that the best part of her job is working to increase the capacity of faculty and staff to be able to see and understand disability as a component of diversity and to successfully address issues of accessibility and inclusion before a person with a disability has to request an accommodation.
