Edward Quinn is an undergraduate student at the School of Business majoring in Management & Leadership. Ted was born and raised in Beaverton, home to the world headquarters of Nike, Inc. What's your favorite thing about studying and working at the SBA?

My favorite thing about the School of Business Administration is the availability of all the resources we have, whether it is the faculty, advisors or different clubs and help centers.

What made you want to be a Peer Advisor?

I wanted to become a Peer Advisor to be more connected with the university and also to help my fellow peers and students find their path to success in whatever way I can.

Why should students seek express advising? What should they expect? How should they prepare?

Peer advising is a great way for students to get the information they need regarding registration, graduation or any other questions about the SBA without having to wait multiple weeks to meet with a faculty advisor. A friendly face, helpful peers and the answers to their questions or, at least, the information on where to go to get what they need are the things that should be expected when meeting with a Peer Advisor. As far as preparation to meet with a Peer Advisor goes, just make sure you have an idea of the questions you want to be answered and we can help with the rest.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years I see myself as a Product Developer at Nike following in the footsteps of my father. It has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid going to the Nike Campus.

Have a quick question or two? Drop in for Express Advising and meet with a peer advisor. Peer advisors offer firsthand experience in classes and tips about the SBA system and guidelines. They all are trained to offer academic planning and other curriculum based guidance to all students who plan to graduate with a business degree from PSU.
