Jennifer transitioned into the field of social work after a decade long career as a documentary television producer during which she worked on productions related to issues of social and criminal justice. She was the Outreach and Media Director for Identity House, the first LGBTQ peer counseling organization in New York City; and served as the clinical group facilitator of a cancer support group for lesbian, bisexual, and trans-men and women at the Lesbian Cancer Initiative for which she also co-created a cultural competency training for medical providers and was an advisory board member.
