Eddie's passion lies in equity and inclusion work and the intersection of micro and macro practice, specifically in relation to agency and systemic structures. His experience in implementing social justice frameworks and drive to support systems seeking to embrace culturally affirmative practices is what drew him to the SSW.
Eddie seeks to hold space for courageous conversations surrounding intersectional identity, community and individual response to historical/current trauma, and the overarching connection between privilege and power within societal and interpersonal relationships. He believes focus on implicit/explicit bias and socialization, informed by narrative and existentialist frameworks, is critical in clinical practice and the unpacking of each knapsack carried in our day to day.

Personal Interests

International (and domestic) travel, hikes and waterfalls, live music, and laugher.  Eddie is a member of the Portland Gay Men's Chorus (PGMC) and names singing and dancing as two of his passions.
