Ada Garcia
Ada Garcia

Ada Garcia is a senior Biology major who moved to Portland six years ago from Spain where she lived for a decade. Born in Cuba, her interest in biology began at the age of nine, when she studied botany and natural sciences at school. Ada is a LSAMP Scholar, contributing to a pseudoscorpion project in Dr. Susan Masta’s lab (PSU Department of Biology). LSAMP also provided a launching pad to Ada’s upcoming work as a summer intern at the Oregon Zoo, where she will contribute to an ongoing turtle conservation program. Ada’s goal is to dedicate herself to wildlife conservation; toward this goal, she plans to attend graduate school to further her expertise in animal behavior. Ada enjoys traveling, being in touch with nature, attending Death Metal shows, and reading good literature.
