PSU Employees Required to Use Duo 2FA starting February 25

Duo 2FA will soon be required for all PSU employees

Starting February 25, all employees will be required to enroll in Duo Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to continue accessing PSU resources that use Single Sign-On (SSO). SSO is the system that enables you to use your Odin account to access certain university resources through a web browser, such as: Gmail, Banweb, and DataMASTER.

Enroll now, or wait for mandatory enrollment on February 25

If you're a PSU employee and have not enrolled in Duo 2FA by February 25, you’ll be prompted to enroll when you next access PSU resources that use SSO. You will not be able to sign in until you complete Duo enrollment.


For most people, we recommend using a mobile device with the Duo app installed as the best method of two-factor authentication. Even when you don’t have cell service or an internet connection, you can use the Duo app to generate a passcode.

If you don’t have access to a mobile device with the Duo app, another option for authentication is the Duo hardware token. PSU employees who are required to use Duo 2FA can request one free Duo hardware token at the OIT Helpdesk.

Get help with Duo 2FA in Duo Drop-In sessions

In addition to our regular Helpdesk availability, we’re holding special Duo Drop-In sessions in the Helpdesk lounge to assist employees who need help setting up two-factor authentication.

Duo Drop-In sessions will be held in the Helpdesk lounge on the following days and times:

  • Monday, February 10 from 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 12 from 2 to 3 p.m
  • Monday, February 17 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 19 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Friday, February 21 from 1 to 2 p.m.
