Computerworld has included Portland State University on its list of top 2017 Best Places to Work in IT. The top 100 list honors organizations that challenge their IT staff while providing great benefits and compensation.

Portland State University (PSU) is excited to be recognized by Computerworld for this distinguished award,” said Kirk Kelly, PSU’s associate vice president and chief information officer. “Employees are our number one value, and I am proud to work with our outstanding staff. This award is a reflection of the great work environment that PSU and OIT have created for our employees.”

The Best Places to Work in IT list is an annual ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals. It is based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, training and retention. In addition, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, whose responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.

“In a competitive market for tech talent, these outstanding employers are able to attract highly skilled IT pros by offering great benefits, new learning opportunities, access to cutting-edge technologies and challenging, business-critical projects,” said Ken Mingis, executive editor of Computerworld.
