OIT launches new campus resource for technology help

The Office of Information Technology is excited to share a new resource with the Portland State University community. Starting March 5, students, faculty, and staff are invited to visit the new PSU Help Center to request IT services and find answers to technology-related questions.

The PSU Help Center, found at, is a central place where you can:

  • Request technology-related services.
  • Report problems with IT systems.
  • Discover help from our knowledge base.
  • Check on the status of your IT requests.

Search for help and services

On the front page of the Help Center you can use the search bar to find help and services. Alternatively, browse through the help categories listed under “Contact us about.” The PSU Help Center is shown in Figure 1.

Read help articles and provide feedback

As you search for help or fill out request forms, you’ll see “Suggested articles” from our IT Knowledge Base, as shown in Figure 2. Let us know if these articles are useful to you by voting yes or no on “Did this article help?”

Log in to view the status of your help requests

While it’s not necessary for you to log in to receive help, if you do log in using your Odin account credentials you can check on the status of your help requests, as shown in Figure 3. You’ll still receive email notifications, unless you select the  “Don’t notify me” option on a request, shown in Figure 4.
