Carlos Mena, Eng. D.

Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management 

Dr. Carlos Mena received his Doctorate degree from the University of Warwick (UK). Prior to joining PSU, Dr. Mena worked for Michigan State University and for Cranfield University in the UK. The focus of his research is the impact of supply chain management practices on economic, social and environmental performance.  He has more than 25 refereed publications to his name, as well as two books entitled “Leading Procurement Strategy” and “Delivering Performance in Food Supply Chains”. Dr. Mena will be teaching a variety of courses in Supply Chain Management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Upon hire, Dr. Mena was awarded the School of Business Nike Professorship of Supply Chain Management.

Brandon Reich, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor in Marketing

Dr. Reich received his Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Oregon in 2018. His research builds on theoretical foundations of social psychology to develop an understanding of prosocial consumer movements and their effects on marketplace functioning. For instance, his research investigates topics such as consumer blame processes, local food consumption, and environmentally friendly consumption and has appeared in top-level journals such as Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Advertising, and Journal of Public Policy & Marketing. Dr. Reich will be teaching a variety of marketing courses.

Brady M. Firth, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Management

Dr. Firth earned his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Maryland, and a Masters in Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University. Prior to joining PSU, Dr. Firth was an assistant professor at the University of Iowa. His research focuses broadly on what enables individuals and teams to make effective adjustments to challenges at work. His research publications include articles in the Academy of Management Journal and the Journal of Applied Psychology. He will be a lead instructor in courses on HR management.

Joel Owens, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Accounting

Dr. Owens, CPA (South Carolina) holds a B.S., MAcc, and Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of South Carolina. Before joining PSU, he held the position of assistant professor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. His research focuses on individual judgment and decision making in auditing and financial reporting contexts. Dr. Owens is an award-winning teacher and will teach auditing and integrated accounting issues at PSU. Prior to obtaining his Ph.D., Dr. Owens worked as an auditor with Elliott Davis, LLC in Greenville, SC, primarily serving clients in the manufacturing, retail, real estate, and government sectors.

Meredith Woehler, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Management 

Dr. Woehler received her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Kentucky in 2017.  Her research generally encompasses two primary themes: (1) individual differences, including gender and political skill, and (2) individuals’ abilities to agentically drive and handle change–from large organizational changes like mergers and acquisitions to more micro changes, such as driving innovative changes in the workplace or changing in one's network of workplace relationships.  Her work has appeared in premier journals such as Organization Science and the Journal of Applied Psychology.  In her role, Dr. Woehler will be teaching a variety of management courses such as the organizational leadership course.

George Watson, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Marketing

Dr. Watson received his Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Washington in 2016. Before joining PSU, he held the position of assistant professor at Colorado State University. His research focuses on customer loyalty, relationship marketing, B2B marketing, marketing-finance interface, online/mobile retail and marketing strategy. His work has appeared in premier journals such as the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Retailing and the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science.  Dr. Watson will be teaching a variety of marketing courses.
