The Department of Applied Linguistics is hiring work-study students

Daily responsibilities will vary, but will primarily involve reception, office support and 

projects for our departments. As a result, we’re especially interested in energetic, self-

motivated people who can remain upbeat and flexible as needs of the department 

fluctuate. Ongoing training will be required and provided.

Candidates with office skills are preferred, including basic computer proficiency, 

rudimentary knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to prioritize and 

conduct oneself in a professional manner.

The Department of Applied Linguistics values building community among students, faculty and staff, and views our

this position. Please be prepared in the event of an interview to present your Certificate 

of Eligibility for federal work-study (available from the Student Financial Aid window in
