My Background

My marketing career spans 15 years cumulative experience in the integrated health care, pharmaceutical and advertising industries. I joined Kaiser Permanente Northwest (KPNW) in 2012 as a Strategic Marketing Consultant at a time of unprecedented transformation in healthcare stemming from the Affordable Care Act. At KPNW, I currently lead development of the region's emerging direct-to-consumer, retail marketing strategy. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I founded FusionAlley, a management consulting practice specializing in healthcare communications to assist drug and device manufacturers develop innovative marketing strategies for launching and growing brands. Earlier in my career, I held positions of increasing responsibility at Innovex Medical Communications, the marketing division of Quintiles, the world's largest clinical research organization. I addition to my MBA in Healthcare Management from Portland State University and Oregon Health Sciences University, I graduated with honors from Gannon University with a BA in Communications and Marketing.

My Experience at Portland State University

I chose to advance my education at Portland State and Oregon Health Sciences University based on the unique nature of the MBA program in Healthcare Management and the focus this program places on developing professionals capable of leading transformational business change in health care delivery and related industries. The next decade in American healthcare will be marked by massive shifts in how Americans select, finance and receive healthcare services. I’m confident that the knowledge, skills, insights and connections I’ve obtained through my graduate education at Portland State and OHSU will help me to grow in my career and in life.

My Future Goals

I am extremely passionate about the role of innovation and adaptation of best practices from other industries in realizing transformational change in healthcare. We are all working toward the goal of developing a more sustainable healthcare economy. I am excited about opportunities to take on new business leadership roles as these changes precipitate.
