Theodore C. Van Alst, Jr. Indigenous Nations Studies faculty, recently completed a short writer-in-residency at the University of Minnesota-Morris and gave the Friday luncheon keynote at the Native American Literature Symposium, where he reading from his upcoming follow-up to award-winning Sacred Smokes. He was also the chair and respondent to a panel on \W/estworld and hosted the association’s annual Film Screening. Additionally, he presented work from his chapter contribution to Visualities 2: More Perspectives on Contemporary American Indian Film and Art, released in February by Michigan State University Press.
