A Dot on the Map is a book of short stories by Sait Faik (1906-1954), who lived, loved, and died in Istanbul. If you would like to read some of his stories in English, consider taking TUR 341 U Turkish Literature in English Translation online during Fall 2016.

In TUR 341 U, we will also explore other writers like Sevgi Soysal, Yasar Kemal, Elif Shafak, and Orhan Pamuk in English. 

All readings, discussions, assignments will be in English.
