MEDFORD, Ore.- The Transportation Technology and People (TTP) lab at Portland State University created a new smartphone application, in partnership with the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The app is called "ORcycle."

It provides information for cyclists, by cyclists.

"ORcycle" users can post feedback on where to ride, what to look out for, and the best routes to take.

"Just being able to map out and share with other riders may be the best way to get around town, could be really useful," said Will Scharen, an employee at Marty's Cycles.

The app also gives cyclists the capability to record videos of their cycling trips and post maps of where they ride.

"ORcycle" is available for download on Apple and Android devices.

Data will be uploaded by Monday November 10, 2014.
