Elections for the Associated Students of Portland State University are fast approaching!

Applications for candidates are due by March 20th at 5pm. Applications can be picked up in the ASPSU office (SMSU 117) and they will be submitted to the SALP office (SMSU 119). Campaigning will begin on April 6, but voting begins on April 13 and ends on April 24.

Elected positions include Student Body President, Vice President, Student Fee Committee (SFC) member, and Senator. It is critical that students run for office and vote in the elections. ASPSU allocates the student fee, represents students on committees and in deliberations with university administrators, as well as lobbies in Salem on student issues, among many other responsibilities.

Elections Information Session

The Elections Board will be hosting an informational session for any students interested in running for student government at the following date and time:

Friday, March 6 at 1 p.m. in Smith M114

This is an opportunity for students to learn about what ASPSU does, why it's important to join, how to run an election, election procedures, and more.
