This Israel360 series features speakers and scholars who cut beyond the headlines to present diverse perspectives on Israel. Congregation Neveh Shalom will be holding an event that focuses on the ecological co-operation occurring between Jordan and Israel and the preservation of their shared eco-system.

Dr. Uri Shanas is a premier Israeli environmental leader associated with the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies. He has previously been a visiting professor at PSU. This session will explore how to navigate cultural divides to best support mutual values of a healthy and bio-diverse environment that maintains and preserves water quality and species diversity.

The lessons of this Israeli-Jordanian Biodiversity Study provide gleanings that can inform and strengthen local environmental efforts.
