Invisible Voices, Visible Powers
Monday, November 18, 2019 - 4:00pm to Monday, November 18, 2019 - 6:00pm

Historically, there has been chronic under-count within marginalized communities and college students participating in the census. When filling out the census, you make a statement about what resources are needed within the various communities you are apart of. However, often times with data collection like this, there is a distinct language barrier that limits participation on purpose. This event will help bridge the gap on the importance on why participation matters but more specifically how your voices can be heard and contribute in meaningful ways to our nation's budgeting and policy making process. This event is open to PSU students, faculty, staff and the outside community. Food will be provided as well as a chance to win: airpods, speakers, and a Polaroid printer. We hope to see you there! We strive to make our events inclusive and accessible so if you require ADA accommodations, please reach out to us at least two weeks prior at or (503) 725-9390.
