Info Session: Study Abroad in South Africa

Mark your calendars for our Study in South Africa Info Session.  This session is scheduled for Wed, Oct 2 from noon - 1pm in Karl Miller Center, #610C.  You may have not ever considered study abroad, or even considered study abroad in South Africa.  However, there are some real reasons why you should do so.

  1. South Africa is one of the most ethnically and culturally diverse countries in Africa  It also has a rich and complex history; struggles with apartheid and colonization and its aftermath make it an interesting place to observe how different cultures interact.
  2. South Africa offers you a perfect climate with over 300 days of sunshine per year in some parts!
  3. It's a super friendly place to live and study - Cape Town was recently ranked as one of the top 10 friendliest cities by Abroad101
  4. You can study almost any discipline - in English!  Politics, International Studies, Applied Linguistics, Public Health, Business, Film, Journalism, Environmental Studies, Pre-Med, and more!  You can study at the University of Cape Town or Stellenbosch University - two of the most reputable universities in Africa!  You can also do full-time internship work!
  5. PSU students can use financial aid, apply for scholarship funding, and earn in-residence credits while abroad.  Options for winter/spring, summer, and fall 2020 are now available!
