Dr. Weigand is interested in how we shape places that support active lifestyles and foster community life in the public realm. She teaches courses on bicycle and pedestrian travel, design analysis and trail planning. Dr. Weigand has more than 20 years of public, nonprofit and private sector experience in community and transportation planning with the City of Portland Office of Transportation, Moore Iacofano Goltsman (MIG), Livable Oregon and the League of California Cities.
