Dylan Morgan is a Project Designer at PLACE, a landscape architecture and urban design studio in NW Portland. His work is driven by a passion for public space and a desire to improve the everyday experience of urban residents. He is currently working on Gateway Park: a project that will add green space and a public events plaza in a parks-deficient area of East Portland. The project is part of a collaboration that Dylan helped establish between PLACE and the School of Architecture’s Center for Public Interest Design.

Prior to pursuing architecture, Dylan worked for ten years as an exhibition designer and gallery manager at Elizabeth Leach Gallery and Museum of Contemporary Craft in Portland. During that time he represented many Pacific Northwest artists and became an advocate for process-based creative work.

As a student at Portland State University he received numerous awards including two AIA Student Design Awards and the 2014 AIA Henry Adams metal for the highest academic achievement amongst M.ARCH graduates. His thesis research focused on the urban edges and how design can foster a local lifestyle in auto-centric neighborhoods.
