Once again, PSU Student Legal Services in partnership with Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Fraternity and CASH Oregon are offering free tax preparation for students, staff, faculty, and the community. Tax preparation is available Saturdays and Sundays, Feb. 4 through April 15, in 360 School of Business Administration. Hours are Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. The site will be closed during spring break on March 24, 25, 31 and April 1.

Assistance is on a first-come, first-serve basis and no appointments will be taken. Tax preparers anticipate a large turnout, so they suggest those seeking the free service should go during the months of February or March. For details about what to bring to the tax preparation site, visit the CASH Oregon website.

Trained community volunteers will help file Oregon and Federal tax returns, including free electronic filing. The volunteers will assist in preparing special credits, such as Earned Income Tax Credit or Child Tax Credit. For more information, contact Student Legal Services at 5-4556 or visit its website.
