Eliot Treichel's young adult novel A Series of Small Maneuvers, which was published by Ooligan Press in November 2015, won the Readers' Choice Award at last night's Oregon Book Awards ceremony. When Melanie Bishop reviewed it for the Huffington Post, she remarked, "I’d go so far as to say it’s one of the best books I’ve read this year, in any genre.” The book also received a starred review in Publishers Weekly, and last year it won the Mountains and Plains Independent Bookseller Award.

Ooligan Press is the student-run press at the heart of Portland State University's Book Publishing program, which offers master's degrees in Book Publishing as well as undergraduate coursework in the field.
