Black Studies Chair, Dr. Shirley Jackson gave the MLK Keynote Address at the University of Idaho this month, as part of their Black History Month events.  She spoke on learning from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his vision and the work we still need to do to achieve a more equitable society.
Dr. Jackson also gave a MLK keynote address at Lateh County's Human Rights Taskforce MLK Breakfast event.

Dr. Jackson is a professor and current chair of Black Studies at PSU.  Her areas of research specialization are race/ethnicity, gender and social movements. She is the editor of The Handbook of Race, Class, and Gender and co-editor of Caged Women: Incarceration, Representation, and Media.
