Utilizing Current Research to Advocate for Youth with Learning Disabilities
Friday, February 7, 2020 - 10:00am

Join the Quantitative Data Analysis to Improve the Lives of Youth (QDAILY) research group for a talk with Monica McHale-Small, adjunct professor at Temple University and a Learning Disabilities Association of America representative to the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities.

She will outline the research, data and personal stories LDA has used to craft their position related to the identification and support of individuals with learning disabilities. LDA is presently developing a statement focused on the complex issues of disproportionality in identification and discipline of youth impacted by learning disabilities.

Friday, Feb. 7 | 10-11 a.m.

Cramer Hall, Room 265

The monthly Quantitative Data Analysis to Improve the Lives of Youth (QDAILY) research group meetings are aimed at stimulating applied quantitative research across Portland, providing a venue for researchers to receive methodological and theoretical feedback, and facilitating community, networking, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
