Please join us for a free lecture by Allison Campbell, Associate Laboratory Director for Earth and Biological Sciences at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, on March 9th from noon to 1:00pm, held in Hoffmann Hall. 

 

Allison Campbell is the Associate Laboratory Director for Earth and Biological Sciences at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. As a researcher herself, Allison is nationally recognized for individual contributions in materials development through her research in biomaterials, including her innovative work on bioactive coatings for medical implants.


She is an avid promoter of science education, sharing enthusiasm for her field with students through a number of hands-on education programs. As the 2017 president of the American Chemical Society, she has said she will work to educate both politicians and the public on the importance of the sciences as "potent forces for good in our world".

 

This talk is the opening to the second annual Ladies' Lab Night, hosted by PSU's Science Outreach Society.
