Fridays@4: Difficult Landscapes: Chelsea McCann of Walker Macy

Portland State University School of Architecture presents a Fridays@4 talk by Chelsea McCann, principal at Walker Macy landscape architects.

The earth is an imperfect place that has been altered over time by natural phenomena and human impacts.  It is in this imperfect environment that landscape architects find creative solutions that blend science, engineering and design to heal the earth and create resilient, equitable spaces.  Chelsea McCann with Walker Macy will talk about some of these difficult landscapes and how they have been transformed into world class destinations and cultural centers in the West.

About Fridays@4:
Each Friday at 4pm during most of the academic term, PSU School of Architecture students and faculty gather together to hear from professional designers and architects, academics, visiting artists, innovators, and students in the program. All architecture students enrolled in studio courses are expected to attend.

Free and open to the public.
