Extreme Latitudes: Womxn in Polar Research Book Launch and Panel

Come celebrate the launch of the first two volumes of the Extreme Latitudes book series, Antarctica Becomes Her by Melissa Haeffner, assistant professor of environmental science and management, and Going to MARS: Science in Canada's High Arctic by Jay Nadeau, associate professor of physics.

Hear from a panel of women in science on their experiences in polar research: Ariel Waldman, NASA advisor and artist; Jay Nadeau; Melissa Lucash, assistant professor of geography; Erin Shortlidge, assistnat professor of biology; and Scarlett Hopkins, director of Alaska Native Clinical Research at OHSU. Melissa Haeffner will moderate.
