EDI Workshop: Biases in Talent Acquisition

Diverse teams are found to generate more innovative ideas and perform better. One way to thoughtfully increase the diversity of your teams is to re-design your people operations to be more equitable, which will help remove barriers for colleagues to access the knowledge, skills, and supports they need to do their best work. One of these vital people operations is the talent acquisition process.

If you’ve ever designed a recruitment program, hired a new colleague, or participated in an interview panel, you’re aware our unconscious biases can greatly impact the outcomes of the hiring process. Join us to learn more from the Portland HR Management Association’s equity committee about unconscious biases. And as a group, we’ll learn how to spot where biases can flourish in the talent acquisition process, and how to interrupt those biases to mitigate inequities in your organization.

Online registration is available until November 19 but space is limited, so register today! A light breakfast will be provided, courtesy of CEPE. Questions? Contact Nikki Schutte at 503.655.6474 or
