2019 MFA Artist Talk - Johnny Beaver

Sorry to See You So Soon is an exhibition about mental health, as seen through a lens of chronic insomnia. With a web-based artwork designed at its core, this multimedia installation features painting, sculpture, sound, digital art, and video conceived as experiments in the curation of personal culture and ritual as they pertain to an inevitable phrase of time; the gap between trying to fall asleep and succeeding in doing so.
